What measures should be taken to prevent crevice corrosion when designing titanium equipment?

(1)In terms of structure,gaps and retention zones should be eliminated as much as possible.For example,welding should be used as much as possible to replace bolt connections or riveting;butt welds should be used instead of spot welds and lap joints:improve the flow state of the solution inside the equipment to avoid the formation of retention zones.
(2)Materials resistant to crevice corrosion or materials with surface treatment should be selected for use in crevices.For example,Ti-0.15Pd titanium alloy,which has better resistance to crevice corrosion,can be used instead of commercially pure titanium;coating titanium with palladium,oxidation,and anodizing treatments can all improve its resistance to crevice corrosion.
(3)Adopt gasket materials with special forms and compositions to improve the environment for crevice corrosion.
